When you join us you will find a small class, suitable for beginners and advanced yogi's alike. We start each class laying on the supplied (or bring your own) yoga mats. We move and breathe gently in a skilfully guided class that invites you to participate within your comfort levels. Everything is an invitation to participate, not an instruction. We finish the class with some easy breathwork, designed to calm your nervous system.
These classes do not require flexibility or any level of strength, just a curiosity on your part to turn up. These classes are perfect for alieviating stress, anxiety & cultivating the path of a healthy life.
The classes reference the teachings of two of the greatest and most influential teachers of the 20th Century, Krishnamacharya and his son Desikachar who said that as teachers we should adapt the yoga to suit the individual. Mr. Desikachar said that yoga is the practice of learning to observe one's self without judgment. We achieve this in class through mindful awareness of our body, breath and mind.
